Frequently asked questions

I’ve never been here before. Where do I start?

Come to the 10:00 Sunday Liturgy and sit wherever you like — we don’t have “reserved” seats. Stay for coffee afterward: there’s always someone who can show you around and answer questions. No special dress or prior knowledge needed.

How do we baptize a child?

Write to us or come speak with us after Sunday Liturgy. Before the Baptism, parents and godparents attend two short meetings with the catechist — more a conversation than an exam. The Sacrament itself takes place Saturday afternoon or after Sunday Liturgy.

We want to get married in church. What do we do?

Reach out at least two months ahead: first we agree on a date, then there are four preparation meetings for the couple. They’re about married life, not about the ceremony. We’ll list the documents you need at the first meeting.

When can I go to confession?

Every Saturday from 5pm during Vespers, and half an hour before every Sunday Liturgy. If that time doesn’t work, arrange a separate meeting — the priest will find an hour during the week.

Are there activities for children?

Yes, Sunday school runs every Saturday at 11:00 for two age groups, and a children’s room operates during the 12:00 Liturgy. No registration needed — just bring your child, the first class is always a trial.

Where can I park?

There are about twenty spots in the church yard, which fill up by 9:45 on Sundays. A free lot behind the school is two minutes’ walk away.

Where do donations go?

Toward specific goals you can see on the “Online Donations” page: maintaining the church, the social kitchen, Sunday school, the choir. We publish a monthly report in the “Documents” section — every line item is visible there.

I want to help. With what, exactly?

We need the most help with the Thursday kitchen, drivers to deliver grocery packages, and volunteers for Sunday school. Write to us about what suits you and how much time you have — we’ll find a ministry that won’t wear you out.
