This year the patronal feast will run all day. At 10:00 — a festive Liturgy with choir, at 11:30 — a shared meal in the yard, and after lunch we’ll open the grounds for children: games, workshops, sweets.

If you can bake something for the shared table, sign up by the candle stand or write to us. Come as families — there’s room for everyone.

Last week the community kitchen operated in its renovated space for the first time. In three hours volunteers served seventy-four meals — the most in the ministry’s history.

Thank you to everyone who peeled potatoes, washed dishes, or simply sat with our guests. Next Thursday we start at 12:00; hands are needed from ten.

Classes for two age groups begin next Saturday. The younger group meets at 11:00, the older one at 12:15. Registering ahead isn’t required, but if you write to us in advance we’ll prepare materials for your child specifically.

A parallel conversation for parents covers the same topic — so there’s something to talk about at home.

Once a month we turn off the lights in the church and pray by candlelight — no homily, almost no words. Even those who rarely attend services come: nothing needs to be known in advance.

You can light a candle remotely too — on the “Virtual Candles” page. Every intention left there is remembered aloud.

In two months the community has raised more than half of what’s needed. That means we’ll be able to start the work before the autumn rains.

Starting next Wednesday we read the Gospel of Luke — chapter by chapter, unhurried, with no homework required. Meetings are at 6:30pm and last an hour.

You can join any week: we always start with a short recap of what came before.

Ahead of the feast days the choir needs altos and basses. Musical training isn’t required — the director will hold a short meeting and find you a part.

Rehearsals are every Friday at 6:30pm. Come just to listen to how it all works — you can decide later.

Ten days in the Carpathians, twenty-eight participants, no phones after nine in the evening. Morning prayer, hikes, evening talks by the fire — and surprisingly few arguments.

Every month volunteers visit more than twenty people — bringing Holy Communion, groceries, and, most importantly, an hour of ordinary conversation.

From the first week of autumn we’re bringing back morning prayer at 7:30am on weekdays and adding a third Sunday Liturgy for families with children at 12:00.
