Social Ministry
Practical help isn’t a separate project for the community — it’s its ordinary week.
The Thursday kitchen
Every Thursday from 12:00 to 3:00pm we cook hot lunches. Anyone can come, no forms or certificates. It’s usually around seventy servings.
Grocery packages
Twice a month we put together packages for families in need and for older people who don’t leave their homes. Volunteers deliver them in their own cars.
Home visits
If you or someone close to you can’t come to church — write to us. The priest will come with Holy Communion, and volunteers will simply sit and talk.
How to get involved
We need cooks, drivers, and people willing to call someone lonely once a week. Tell us how much time you have — we’ll find a ministry that fits.
